   how do you define "Hyperrealistic" though? people are worried that there isn't a strict definition, or that the definition will be open to change. if i could give advice, you need to establish a non-subjective test and publicize what that test is

     @EscBoy there is no way for me to objectively draw the line and define the threshold in realism for not being soft muted. That is why it is “at our discretion.”

     I understand the frustration and uncertainty for realistic 3D artists. I also accept that I need to do better about being transparent with delisting their works when it happens. “Hyperrealistic” art may paint a target on the back of this art community but that is not an excuse for the lack of communication towards the artists affected.

     @satori @EscBoy My standards are "lifelike skin tone, face, color scheme, and maybe BG", but I mute most artists who post transgressive 3DCG in any capacity (even heavily-stylized). My rule of thumb is that it should not only be DISTINGUISHABLE from the real-life counterpart, but it shouldn't FEEL too similar. I wish there were more mandatory tags, like one for stylized 3D (as that's subjective) and realistic/semi-realistic 2D (think similar principles I mentioned earlier), but I'll stay if not.

     There has been no change in the rules at baraag. Realistic 3D art is not banned and no 3D artist has been suspended or have had their works deleted. When creating an account here, it implies having read and agreed to the Terms of Service which states how content such as 3DCG may be delisted. The ToS remains the same and has not been updated.

     It is not my intention to take the stance that 3D art deserves less exposure than 2D art. In the end, I will always defend hosting any art that is fantasy.
