@jeffcliff @Kagekokoro @ceo_of_monoeye_dating @thadius @EricCarroll >God doesn't exist, and won't exist whether you believe in it or not.
Jeff, you have far more justification in believing in the unlikely natural occurrence theory for the Wuhan Coronavirus than that God doesn't exist. Come on now!

@SuperSnekFriend @Kagekokoro @thadius @jeffcliff @EricCarroll There are many good reasons to believe that God doesn't exist. They're all of the form "like he didn't say hi to me ever."
That's pretty reasonable. If Bob in Australia exists, but he never comes around and says "hey I'm here," you don't know he's there, right? And if everyone starts talking about how cool Bob is and how much fun they have with him, but Bob refuses to pick up when you call him...yeah, you're gonna think everyone's having a laugh with you. Even if everyone has in fact met Bob.
Not much that can be done there. You really do need divine revelation, sucks to suck.

@ceo_of_monoeye_dating @SuperSnekFriend @Kagekokoro @thadius @jeffcliff @EricCarroll You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. This is the same problem with those who thirst for meaning but refuse what God provides.

@Mamako @Kagekokoro @thadius @SuperSnekFriend @jeffcliff @EricCarroll IDK.
I totally felt like I had my mouth thrust right in the water when I saw it.
Absolutely felt like I was forced to drink tbh.

That is just another variation of "Bad thing, therefore God doesn't exist."
The Lord owes us, as creatures, subservient, and especially as rebellious sinners, nothing good from our perspective, including direct revelation like the days of the Bible. He does not need to acknowledge and fulfill requests like "Tell me 'hello' Lord!"
That He does often for Christians is a gracious gift.

@SuperSnekFriend @Kagekokoro @thadius @jeffcliff @EricCarroll I disagree - it is entirely valid for someone to not believe in something if they do not observe it in some form.
It is not a challenge to my faith if someone does not believe in it, because I *have* observed it. The reality that I have coffee in my kitchen is not challenged by the fact that you can't come over and see it. It is fine if you don't believe in my coffee, I'm still gonna go drink it.

@Mamako @EricCarroll @Kagekokoro @SuperSnekFriend @jeffcliff @thadius Like *we* can't do that but *they* can.
