If a video game has a multi-player mode as it's main selling point but also allows single player play and then someone states "sure you can play solo and with randos but it's meant to be played with friends" than if that's true the game is fucking flawed. This is assuming you have friends that want to play the game, have friends at all, can schedule time to play at the same time and or play for the same time frame as your friends. Any game that is stupid enough to make a game meant to be played "with your friends" primarily is a game that will evenually fail.
