Apple Tightens Passcode Security on iPhones to Thwart Thieves: it prevent thieves from gaining access to critical device data in the event that they know a user’s passcode. there are multiple reports of armed robbery where they force people to provide the iphone password and get access to their bank account. So apple is now trying to fix that 🤣

Personally if my phone gets stolen I'm just going to remote wipe without questions asked. If I actually get it back I'll reinstall, no biggie. I have backups anyway. It doesn't seem worth just trying to double lock it in the hopes I could get it back later. How often does that happen anyway?
