   In the last few minutes, the Israeli military announced an end to the truce with Hamas, blaming it for violating the terms of the deal after a rocket was reportedly launched from Gaza and intercepted by Israel.

   US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who's currently on a visit to the Middle East, said yesterday that Israeli officials had told him they intended to resume military operations at some point.

     In the last hour, Israeli PM Netanyahu has said Hamas did not agree to release further hostages, which violated the terms of the truce.

     Hamas did not release all women hostages as agreed and attacked Israel with rockets this morning, Netanyahu's office adds.

     In a statement on social media, his office says Israel remains committed to achieving its objectives - to free hostages, eliminate Hamas and to "ensure that Gaza will never pose a threat to the residents of Israel"

     Shortly before the ceasefire was due to expire, sirens sounded in southern Israel, and the Israeli army said it had intercepted a rocket launched from Gaza.

     The Hamas-run Interior Ministry said multiple areas had been hit by Israeli airstrikes.

     'A source close to the deal negotiations has told the BBC that Hamas believes that Israel violated the truce agreement by not allowing fuel into the north of the Gaza Strip.

     Furthermore, the source says Hamas was unwilling to release Israeli men held in Gaza on the same terms as the women and child hostages.'
