   Citing Hamas-affiliated media, Reuters and Al Jazeera are reporting that explosions and gunfire have been heard in the northern Gaza Strip, particularly to the northwest of Gaza City.
   “This incident coincided with the hovering of Israeli military drones and fighter jets in the sky of the Gaza Strip,” said AJ reporter Tareq Abu Azzoum Azzoum, who was reporting from Khan Younis.
   AFP quoted eyewitnesses reporting heavy aircraft and drone activity.
