     But won't the ball fall out when upside down like it does on Ploopy trackballs? Not an issue on a desktop peripheral, but on a laptop...

     @pronk no, the community is running on Discourse. but that's a very interesting idea. i also did some quick searching and it looks like activitypub support for discourse is coming https://github.com/discourse/discourse-activity-pub
