     @Meemoo My first Terraria playthrought was before 1.4.0.1. But I did a new one because I wanted to do master mode, I did it when 1.4.0.5 hit (because I knew new stuff, new bugs, so I waited a bit), I don't remember having any issues with the stuff mentioned.

     @kamehamic you haven't been effected then. Most of these are annoyances you'd pick up on if u knew a good bit about the game.
     
     Though I don't think u need to be a veteran in order to tell how removing alternative paths to progression in a sandbox game because the dev wants you to play the way THEY want is stupid.
     
     Reaver shark was a pickaxe that acted as a substitute for the molten pickaxe and you could fish for it in the ocean. It provided an alternative path for the more skilled players that isn't killing the world evil boss for demonite/crimtane pickaxes then mining hellstone.
     
     They've also been continuously punishing players for using the game's mechanics and tools because "it's not the way we want you to play" for example, empress of light is a boss that drops the best summoner weapon in the game, but you need to fight her daytime version to get it. During daytime, she becomes a boss that can kill you in 1 hit. Players found that ny using certain items (that have large cooldowns/extreme RNG mind you) can let u dodge her attacks like once or twice throughout the fight.
     This was allowed in for a year, until Red started having an autistic fit and patched it after everyone already beat her for no reason.
     
     Keep in mind that summoners are the weakest class in the game and their weapon is locked behind beating her which doubly fucks them because Red is autistic about that particular boss (the boss is made as a tribute to his wife, I'm not even kidding)
