hey friends,

2023 was not good, at all. Poast was and still is living hand to mouth, month-to-month and begging angel donors to contribute in order to survive most times.

in 2024 I'm going to focus more on driving support for Poast whether it be bringing in volunteer developers to join the Soapbox or Rebased project, or trying to find financial support from the community or other non profits. Along with this I will be taking on a couple full time and contract positions, one of which is a role I've been working in for a couple weeks -- being a systems admnistrator and security with the datacenter poast is hosted at. In a few weeks I will likely take on some other contract work with the goal of putting everything earned toward the development and betterment of Poast, paying our existing and future bills and otherwise ensuring Poast can exist into 2025 and beyond.

I won't have the ability to dedicate as much time or effort to Poast in 2024 as I have in previous years because I will be working multiple jobs, god willing starting a new family but I will always be around. if @milk is being a faggot tell me and I will block him from good times

that being said, Poast will be bringing on an additional admin, like we had in the begining. that admin will shadow milk and learn about Poast, how to work with Poast front end, backend and more importantly how to deal with Poast users (literally impossible)

along with that position, we will be seeking two moderators in GMT+0100 or later. the majority of Poast moderation team has always been in PST-EST. we need to spread out, and we will give preference to those applying in GMT+0100 or later
