     @nixCraft this is truth, but not the whole truth. This mail is sent when one register onetime pass app on a phone. Yes, it still could be a email or SMS, but this is not fact of just login.
     In same situation, when you register Microsoft Authenticator to different phone MS will send a email to you.

     And yes German love their paper. But mostly because their mail system actually works.
