   You know those flash drives that have USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other?

   I wonder what happens if you plug them both in at once... I'm guessing nothing good.

     @foone caaaan you run sg_raw -r 528 -v /dev/sg${THAT_USB_DRIVE_SG_GENERIC_DEVICE} 06 05 00 00 00 00 and if it responds, paste the output? It might be a Phison controller.

     @foone I just tested this! The answer is: the first device it's plugged into retains control, the other device doesn't see it.

     @foone @Variaxocellus an actual USB flash drive? 384kb? I need to know everything about this. Is it some weird special-purpose device like the HP USB Floppy Drive Key or was it actually sold as plain mass storage?

     @foone I have a well-designed Sandisk drive of that ilk—well-designed because it's in a plastic sliding case so you can expose either the USB-A or USB-C plug, but not both at the same time.
