while @theawesomerandomness assembled the release candidate 2 of MNT Pocket Reform motherboard today, I finished the charger PCB design update and cleanup of the headset/power switch PCB and ordered both for quick turn validation at JLC. also i am buying tons of components, but too tired to post about all of them now

minute (mntmn@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 07-Dec-2023 05:17:13 JST minute @theawesomerandomness here's the hopefully final charger PCB: i had to last-minute swap out the main charger IC for MP2650 (instead of MP2762A) because that was suddenly completely out of stock (argh). but i purchased both important chips in parallel, so this design is safe--if it works (it should!).

Will this switch expected to be operated multiple time daily? I have a similar one (rocker SMD switch) on a small Sony DAB radio, and it failed miserabily after about a year of daily activations (2 per day) thanks to an oversight from Sony engineers.
