Reading S. King's "Revival", an amusing thing about it was making me realize how it is simultaneously a nice and a bad thing when religion gets its roots deep in a community, maybe specially in a small one. The bad part is that at some point it becomes something of a military duty, done with unmatched discipline but without love or good understanding of it. Alas, in this context, the most incredulous person can be seem as the most religious or faithful.
