   Now whenever normies start talking about ukraine I’m gonna keep asking the teams in reverse like I’m puzzled, because they’re indistinguishable to these fools.

   “Yeah, like the ukranians are gonna kick so much ass, the M1 is gonna decimate the orcs!”

   (I’m already preemptively dreading this interaction tomorrow. Last time the guy was excitedly sharing Ukranian twitter graphics purporting to have destroyed whatever insane, improbable number of armored vehicles they swore happened. It’s like niggerball for redditors)

     @WashedOutGundamPilot My going theory with the non-stop pro-Ukraine propaganda is that it keeps the general public from being outraged over how much money we are throwing over there.

     @houseoftolstoy The more I talk to these types the more I get the impression it’s a rare opportunity for faggy reddit folk to indulge in a team vs team rivalry. They think they’re too smart and classy to watch nigerball with the rest of the tax-cattle, so a chance to root for the “good guys” brings out a side of them they’ve never been able to indulge before. If it weren’t for the stakes of “freedom” and this make-believe game that ‘putler’ is totally gonna steamroll his way across europe, they wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.

     The conflict is just football with a veneer of importance
