category error here: you seem to think that the purpose of these laws is to embody some objective principle, when the actual purpose of these laws is now “fuck you, we hate you and want you to die after giving us all your shit with no fuss and maybe being our slave for awhile”

it’s very simple: whatever you think your “non-illegal” economic activity is, I promise you that it can already be prosecuted using an entire smorgasbord of lawfare which can be dumped on your head instantly; the only thing preventing them from doing so is “whim”

and, as soon as any activity becomes legible to the system as a threat, it will be immediately made radioactively illegal and its practitioners made example of (see China’s treatment of Falun Gong for how this works)

shit, at this point, printing out flyers and handing them out (literally the most basic example of an activity absolutely covered under the First Amendment) is “illegal” and gets you dragged through the “process-as-punishment” pipeline and subjected to extended liferuin

I’m not sure what level of normality bias you’re on, but you do need to understand that non-globohomo market activity is already extremely illegal by definition and removal of it from that system’s purview will be punished harshly, no matter how innocuous you would otherwise think that is
