     @mangeurdenuage I remember when EA made players pay for Mass Effect DLC that was already on the disc. I got around it by modding my X360 save, but I could because my console was offline.

     @coolboymew @mangeurdenuage @realcaseyrollins @thatbrickster also it's worth doing now because Microsoft quit banning people, the entire NTSC-J library is dumped if you have one of those xboxes (they're cheap on yaj), and most importantly some games go for methed up prices of several hundred dollars

     the preorder bonus got you sidegrades that were only useful for niche situations or builds at the start instead of the halfway point
     the dlc items were available to anyone who didn't have the dlc by doing co-op in the available-to-everyone dlc preview area

     @All_bonesJones @coolboymew @mangeurdenuage @thatbrickster @realcaseyrollins Fallout New Vegas did something similar, the preorder weapons and armor you got were basically just advanced starting gear that would get outshined eventually and all of the pre-order packs came bundled in the GOTY edition anyways.
