     @comfy I'll maintain that Family Guy's first 3 seasons were genuinely good, but really, it would have been better if the show had never been revived. I also recall non-Redditors liking Rick and Morty early on, but I'm not sure if the horrible fanbase or a sharp decline in quality was what turned people against it.

     @ChristiJunior @comfy Family guy was a show for 15-35yo men in the 2000's-2010's that aimed to cater to that demographic as much as possible with little other pretense, and honestly I don't think that's really such a crime.
     
     There's a reason the family guy ringtone ads get so many nostalgic reactions from people.

     @ChristiJunior There's a few cutaway gags that live in my head rent free, like where hitler and and eva braun are playing chicken, or with the asian driver goes "I turn now, good luck everyone else". American Dad is also significantly better even now, though I still wouldn't willingly turn it on unless i'm really baked.
     
     Rick and Morty surprisingly has good plots but the entire family except for maybe Summer is annoying and there's a lot of plots that end in incest somehow

     @comfy @ChristiJunior I've seen three episodes of Rick and Morty, and "Pickle Rick" was the worst one by a wide margin. The more an episode gets memed the worse it is.
