     @Mutsu_a125 IDk, I assume it’s just all for show. With how much money this all costs, they probably have some nominal amount that they priced out when they agreed, too, so they don’t want to give too much away for ‘free’.

     the whole thing is funny when you think about those ukie graphics bragging about how they destroyed 1200 tanks in 6 months, yet still high five each other like a dozen machines is enough to turn the tide. It’s almost the worst of all worlds. Enough of our shit to make a kind of standard for logistics, but not enough to actually support and maintain them.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot 30 is still a funny number, why not just give the 300 they asked for, the US literally has thousands of these things sitting around and they'd at least provide enough numbers to account for those lost by teething troubles.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot oh yeah, really the US could probably do better by offering this to Thailand (or maybe purchasing German Leo2s if they want to keep their secrets) then acquiring the 49 T84 Oplots which could be thrown straight into the Uki army who would immediately know how to use, repair and supply them.
     
     Hell if one wants to supply western gear but doesn't want to lose face if destroyed, give the Abrams and Leos to the UK then give ALL the Challenger2s, CH2s are largely obsolete in the UKs mind and most will be retired. So 450 or so tanks which while different standard would be enough to provide a lot of power and offset said teething issues

     @Mutsu_a125 I don’t even think it matters though, we live in the beaurocrat-zone so anything sensible and logical is out of the question from the outset. I don’t know how in the hell they think they can use them anyways, where will these tankers come from? How would they train them to be anything but a stagnant frontline patrol force? You can’t just churn out a qualified commander in 6 weeks, though I’m sure they’ll try.

     Oh cool, a specially built engine picker, I’m sure they got one of those for every division…..right? And it’s surely gonna be simple to hook up with russian stuff, there’s no way they’ll find that their rails are just 6” too short to grab it, that kind of stuff doesn’t happen, American and Soviet tech is totally interchangeable
