@coolboymew I know why LCD TVs aren’t as good as monitors (mainly latency, colour and overscan issues not to mention stupid bloat) but does that apply to old CRTs? Is there really a difference aside from size?

Proper black colors (that only OLED has), no light bleeding and more importantly, the pixel blurring. Loads of retro games drew their stuff with this in mind. Some other consoles with no transparency layer used this to emulate it -

And the scanrate was usually higher so things like the NES lightgun just flat out wouldn’t work.
