"Accepting Christ" is not simply saying the words "Jesus is gud guy yay." Jesus had a set of teachings, and there is some expectation that you attempt to follow them. Here's a few:
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12
"And unto him that smiteth thee on the cheek offer also the other" - Luke 6:29
"Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings." - 1 Corinthians 7:21-23
These are the simple ones. Basically, "win the idea fight, not the flesh fight," "don't retaliate against a man of fists," and "slavery to humans is bad." As Christians we try to live up to these standards, even if we fail sometimes.
Consider the behavior of the jew. Jews retaliated very hard against Palestine recently - the Gaza strip is basically no more, and the average jew does not think this is enough. The jew retaliated in flesh and blood, and despite winning the gunfight they absolutely lost the fight of ideas. They call non-jews the hebrew word for "cattle," and advocate for the human enslavement with the jew as the master.

If you've met any before, you'll realize that's not exactly a high bar. Any decent person grows to hate them pretty rapidly.
