   I bought a scanner from 1986, the nec pc-in502 for the pc-98 and 88 (also has fm towns and x68k software support)
   
   I'm just letting it warm up for an hour before I plug it in

     the scanner fires up, there's a bit of mold/similar on the other side of the scanning bed that has to be cleaned. I'm going to see how well the scanner can scan and if anything else has deteriorated but electronically it seems to function fine.
     
     Also I need to remember the PC-98 softdip command.
