Umm... I'm not skilled enough with server admin stuff, my own servers (at growyourown.services etc) run through managed hosting.

However, the server this account is on (mstdn.social) did switch from Mastodon to Glitch Mastodon and back to Mastodon seamlessly, so it's possible to do for Mastodon forks at least. @stux might be able to help?
