@noyoushutthefuckupdad@shitposter.club @coolboymew@shitposter.club @Fullmetal2255@shitposter.club Late but I just wanted to say that in regards to the Pluto anime I know you guys talked about how it's dumb to just not feel hatred and I think Epsilon's story kind of captured that.
Where Epsilon feels no hatred nor ill-will to others because he's a pacifist but that isn't enough to keep him safe cuz everybody needs to be hate-free for true peace.
I think the fact that Astro is the only bot to have felt hatred and overcome it shows that having emotions isn't the issue but how we control them. Emotions are what make us flawed but also make us better.
This may sound mushy but I like to think that behind every hater is a lover so I enjoy a character like Pluto a lot. Despite how bittersweet the whole anime is I get a sense of hope and joy when I watch it.
It's not nihilistic and bemoans humanity as this flawed beast doomed to bring it's own extinction like some dystopian stories do. Instead it shows that we can change and overcome if we strive for it. And we should.
But yeah that's what I got out of it sorry I couldn't be this succinct on the podcast but I'm dumb sometimes :p
