Some standard resolution process, so we don't spend 3 months deciding on what OS' to support or whatever. All the system really needs to do is have some sort of time limit.
  I'll volunteer for design, writing (if applicable) and programming.

  I want the base requirements of the game to be friendly with windows. This, unfortuantely, still has the most reach in compatibility because GuhNU/Loonix users will always have compatibility layers (which we will test)
  
  If we want to go even less intensive and just do a top-down perspective, RTS or something less demanding as a starter project; this would also be acceptable. I also love level-building engines. The advantage of going for low-tech as far as display is ability to include mobile users. If we gain a vector to package a message to zoomers and younger. Cool.

  @pyrate @weaf @Wyatt @Owl @CoffeeCamo I think if we stick low-enough spec we can just use crossplat stuff like OGL, SDL, whatever, so should be able to just compile for both sides.
  And those dirty macfags too.
  Mobile support is an entirely different beast, but I believe you can compile C to something that android will run, and there should be a non-zero amount of transpilers to java.

  I've already had motivations to learn GoLang and C# for a while now. Currently been tinkering on microcontrollers for other projects, but there is no reason I should not pull open books I've had and start going through them.
  
  I'd advise avoiding python, this is more or less why I've been learning Go. As a valid substitute in my projects.

  Python was one of my first proper languages. Enjoyed it for a while, but then it kind of became a mess as I started to rice more with my loonix systems. Perhaps it's not open hatred as much as burning out over unsupported/broken libraries made by decisions I took elsewhere.
  
  If you keep hitting walls with one tool and need to stop every day to figure out why you can't get the simple task you set out to do completed, then you start to look for something that "Just Works."
  
  All that said, I _have_ been acquiring MicroPython because I need to do some low-level automation on a ESP32 for an environmental sensor in my shop.

  Excellent. Most people who seem to want to partake seem to be from multiple instances. It'd be neat to figure out a meeting place to discuss things further. I have a few options;
  
  (1) NCD Matrix server, Matty has wanted to make a game and his insight I'd value.
  
  (2) I could create an IRC server and provide access over I2P (heckin soopah sekur)
  
  (3) We set up a room via XMPP (also sekur af)
  
  (4) We use the session app (cross platform)
  
  (5) @Owl 's mythical Mumble server.

I am slowly fixing bugs in moment so it is sucking less for me but moment is only for loonix (though presumably you could try compiling it for other platforms but gl lmao), and also conduit still has a lot of work before it stops sucking (and synapse will never stop sucking, it's fucked by design)
  2) IRC is fine enough, though not my preference
  3) I can have a MUC up in like 5 seconds
  4) nigger what are you doing
  5) mumble seems useful for meetings and sporadic stuff, but not as a primary meeting point (I can also offer harpy.faith for it, though I should probably go add some channels to it for this if we're going to use it regularly)
  6) I could also have a lemmy community spun up in a matter of seconds (I have added that functionality to clemmy!!) which may be useful for longer-term discussion. It's not a forum but it's not bad either.

  This is why I'd want the ability to discuss things with the voice or even camera/screenshare. I do have solutions for video conferencing that are more session, by session cases. A private jitsi server managed by a few friends.

  It is, that's why I haven't bothered with it. Don't have the funds for that size of VPS with reliable internet. Hosting at home is less desireable as the cluster i do have is mainly for mass media storage/seeding.

How, exactly, that looks in your client, I don't know. I can answer for pidgin, blabber and conversations, and that's probably about it.
