   @kaia yes, i compared a smaller openai model (openai/clip-vit-base-patch32) to a larger laion/openclip one ("laion/CLIP-ViT-H-14-laion2B-s32B-b79k"), and the openclip one is better. I have not tried a larger openai model yet.

     have you compared how open_clip compares to clip or did you just start out with the former?
