why does opensubtitles dot org show #CD? what does it mean?

LS (lain@lain.com)'s status on Sunday, 26-Nov-2023 20:32:40 JST LS @kaia i'm not sure but i suspect it's because some scene releases of movies were split on multiple VCDs, so if you wanted something to play with subtitles you'd need to find subtitles that are split at the right moment -
