I've seen fuckers 10+ years ago that would have called you a fat fuck for saying changing the cart/disc is annoying now basically going "I go digital only on console because it's convenient and I don't have to change the disc/cart"
It's the same thing for anime dubs. You called them "convenient". This is exactly the excuse for people not to get into subs and not ask for better quality dubs, so basically we're stuck with bottom tier dubs because of "convenience", they don't want to read, they don't want to take the time to get used to it, it's just inconvenient for these people, so they'll take the extreme low quality option, because it's "convenient"
Same thing for 9anime and co. You could vet your source and thanks the person actually bringing the shit to you, sometimes they do it and there's just like 20 fucking downloads, hours of work for this. But no, it's all being killed because "convenience"

I've provided actual specific points about why I do what I do and my position is largely unassailable because of that.
All you've done is speak in broad generalizations about societal behavior as a whole and tried to conflate it with my preference in an area of life that ultimately doesn't even matter.
Bad dubs aren't going to make the soap opera tier and childish writing prevalent in most Anime any worse than it already is. There is literally nothing subtitles can offer me as an incentive unless there is very specific manipulation going on to a specific piece of work that may be egregious
I refuse to accept responsibility for the rest of societies failures. You can crucify me for preferring dubs, but it will only make me into a digital Jesus in the long run.

How its not the same because "fansubs have no official release but I totally pay a service to watch subtitled anime done by localizers that I hate" ?
