     @coolboymew worse, they don't even know that they can't play the long game anymore. I've talked to people about this. Their concept of causality is mechanicistic. Secondary, much less tertiary, consequences basically don't exist in their mind. If the cause and effect isn't something to the effect of a physics equation they blow it off entirely.
