   In this video, #VladVexler spends over half an hour talking about and around (but mostly around) the issue of whether "from the river to the sea" implies genocide or at least ethnic cleansing.

   His conclusion is that it does sometimes but not other times and it depends who's saying it, sometimes, which isn't really a conclusion. He suggests that, due to this ambiguity, it's a poor choice, regardless.

     To try to get people to understand this, I ask them to imagine if all the Jews in the USA, plus more, were all dead (or made instantly homeless).

     Most people won't engage in the conversation.

     He adds that, back in the 1970's, the term clearly referred to support for a secular single-state solution, as indicated by the fact that it specifies the entire region.

     But with the demise of the viability of this solution, I'd say that the remaining interpretation is a different sort of single state: a Palestinian nation built over the bones of the Israelis who didn't flee in time.
