     @blueknightfrank @hellhammer666 It's not quite as bad as a "collapse," but you shouldn't expect anything other than one or two large films to matter in any given year from now on. This year it was Barbie/Oppenheimer. The last two years there were none.
     
     Contrast with 2015 where nuStar Wars, an Avengers movie, American Sniper, Fifty Shades of Grey, and Minions all came out.

     The box office has "recovered" to making 2/3 the revenue it used to. There's no profit in running a movie theater anymore. The old theaters are being sold for a fraction of what they would've cost years ago, and they're being turned into churches and stores.
