It annoys me that this has so little impact on the game, given the massive autism it enables

@Zerglingman What game is this? Looks like it has some potential.
-
@anonymous Girls' Frontline. It's a minigame within a subsystem within a gacha.
-
@Zerglingman Oh shame. Looked like a TD or some other browser game or maybe even something cooler.
I cannot into gachas. I just can't. Just no. :cry:
-
@anonymous Very sensible.
Now I want to add something like this to recycleD.
-
@Zerglingman I tried to search for recycleD but because of this gay earth and SEO and this gay earth I couldn't find it. Link?
-
@anonymous Oh I haven't put it anywhere yet. It's mostly just an idea; the implementation I have only allows you to build towers right now.
The premise is that you don't gain money for killing enemies (nor lose any for selling); you just have a fixed amount and have to constantly rearrange your setup to handle the current enemies.
I plan to add some sort of co-op multiplayer to it, which should actually work pretty well because it won't be a puzzle like most TDs. (TDs are a very good form of puzzle, but puzzles in general are not that great in co-op.)
-
@Zerglingman I personally like the original style where you had to set up elaborate mazes. Those were the days tbh.
-
@anonymous Yes, recycleD will feature mazing. Good luck doing it at speed. :D
(But this also allows me to make cheap non-firing blocker towers.)
-
@Zerglingman I always sucked at the mazes. Like hardcore. But I was always drawn to it because of the freedom it allowed. Great game design fr
-
@anonymous ikr
Starcraft was peak TD :^)
These days my favourites are Defender's Quest, Gemcraft and Bloons. None of which allow mazing :(
-
@Zerglingman Yeah Nu-TDs have more-or-less eradicated mazing. Shame, but predictable tbh.
