     The #historiography #historiographic role of Socrates and his #legacy is that the death of Socrates delegitimized Athenian #democracy during and after the Alexandrian conquests.

     The legacy of the death of #Jesus squashed the Messianic hopes of the Jewish people and justified then destruction of the #Temple in 70 AD. Even #Josephus (working for Rome) wrote that the siege was divine retribution for ritual impurity on Temple grounds.
