     @ActionRetro I used to have a retro hacker news proxy that basically served hacker news for really old browsers, also used that "reader mode" php library to render sites, I assume you use the same. Had to take it down eventually as bots ruined the fun :/

     @ActionRetro For MSD I solved this by rate limiting IPs and once they passed it i just sent them a redirect header going to microsoft.com

     @ActionRetro I have had similar transgressions occur against VogonsDrivers lately. I've had to blacklist a few IP ranges to get it under control.

     I have the same factors preventing me from using a caching CDN.

     It's a pickle!
