Archaeo-HistoriesDuring a construction project in central Japan, a cache of 100,000 ancient coins, bundled in groups of 100 pieces and tied by straw rope, was discovered. Of the more than 300 coins examined, the oldest was minted in China some 2,000 years ago, while the most recent coin has been dated to 1256 AD.
