I just took the effort of checking out the redesign of the statist propaganda rag that is Wikipedia, and as expected, it's a lof of you expect a "modern" webdesoygn to be:
・White background and black letters that's painful to look at.
・Hamburger menu.
・Clearly designed for mobile users and not for actual computer users.
・"DOWNLOAD OUR SATANPHONE CRAPPS!!"
・Ugly as fuck.
But I have to give them 2 positive points:
1. At least all these hidden away by default menus (Hamburger menu, ・・・ menu, language menu etc) works with Javascript disabled, and everything is still accessible without JS, so that's actually a positive surprise.
2. It also seems like it's not taking up much resources at all, the few pages I tested it with so far were roughly between 10 KiB and 600 KiB.
So there is still something positive to say despite the flaws, which is pretty rare to do these days..
