   @Saber I thought it was a love letter to the stuff Anno was a nerd about (Ultraman and other tokusatsu films) and a hate letter to otakus and otakuism. He only chose the Kabbalah, gnostic, and other religious stuff because he thought it looked cool. :02_think:
