     the "la" is the part that both refers to someone being the subject of an action(la) and the implicit person that is doing the action
     also being "la" it specifies that it's a woman the one being the one who is being subjected to said action
     
     you'd be surprised but im struggling to put into words a way to coherently explain this.

     in the case of "*la insemina*"
     "la" is the one getting inseminated, due to the way the phrase it's constructed there's an implicit subject which in this case would be the one who is inseminating :ina_nod:

     @rlier23 @Rhodesian_YuKari @Shadowbroker2135 Spanish is a little more “rigid” compared to english because it has a more focused scope? You can get a feel for it from the way our dictionaries work, where the Royal Spanish Academy actually acknowledges new entries into the language with some discretion and care, whereas english ones are just a free-for-all. That’s why we end up with stupid fads that were only popular for a month, like “badonkadonk” or “fergalicious” being accepted as proper parts of the mother tongue.

     English is just a whore, it takes words from anything and everything, and it’s quite acceptable to break grammar in the interest of having a novel voice. It’s very rich in terms of character, because damn near everything has 5 synonyms to choose from, but it’s sloppy and undisciplined compared to other languages. IDK how many there are in total, if you count the slang, the technical terminology, and the cheesy crap then english supposedly over 1 million different words, while spanish is somewhere around 100,000. That’s a bit lower than the rough average for most languages in the western sphere, IIRC its around 150,000 words total or something

     It’s interesting to think about, when you spend all your time speaking another language and living abroad it does noticeably affect your thought patterns
