   today i got USB, HDMI and the mali G610 GPU working on the firefly RK3588 module. even if the driver stack is still under heavy development, a weston desktop with firefox feels very snappy. i have a midstream kernel and the mnt reform/debian userland running.

     a quick video of browsing our website and playing a video (incl fullscreen) on the device. this is using the work-in-progress "panthor" (previously "pancsf") driver. the kernel and mesa stacks are provided by bbrezillon.

     my approach this time is a bit different (to working with previous modules): i'm trying to gauge what the mainline drivers can do, if we can get all the interfaces we need for integration, and thinking how to design the hardware around it... which is much easier than fixing the drivers around the hardware.

     @mntmn Nice, hadn't heard of panthor. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get panfork to behave. Mainly, I wanted accelerated H.264/H.265 decoding to work. Looks like Rockchip expects someone to wrap their mpp libraries in a VAAPI backend but they won't do it themselves, and they deleted their repo of their older vaapi driver from github. Damned annoying.
