     You guys are missing the point. It’s great to say

     “hey how’s my little towel boy” and have her bristle like “I’M NOT A DAMN TOWEL BOY, QUIT CALLIN ME THAT IT’S GROSS”

     but you keep doing it and expressing affection and approval to her at the same time, (because you aren’t autistic and you understand how pet names work)

     and after a year she just laughs it off and even plays along, like writing “Greek Towelboys ONLY!!!!” on the front of the expensive tub of ice cream she wants to protect from you

     it’s the little things like that. They make it fun to love a woman. The running jokes that no one but you and the kids will ever know, a quiet face reserved only for each other
