   #introduction Hello everyone 👋
   I decided to ditch big tech Social Media, and I'm tinkering with Mastodon, so I'd appreciate any pointers cause it's confusing and I can't find a lot of accounts that was on Twitter/X.

     Welcome to Mastodon! Here are a few things to help get you going.
     
     First, follow @lisamelton@mastodon.social to get some immediate content flowing to your local timeline. Lisa is a real person with a superb knack for boosting interesting content.
     
     Second, on Mastodon you can search for hashtags and then actually follow the same hashtags as if they were accounts. From here look for the accounts that are posting the content you are interested in and start following as many accounts as you can handle.
     
     Your home/local timeline should start to show life and become more active like those other places do with their algorithm and advertisement driven platforms.
     
     If you have more questions, there is a bot called @feditips@mstdn.social that can answer a lot of things.
