     @coolboymew In the gambling industry, most redemption terminals I work with use windows 7 or 10 LTSC. There was one we used to use that was Linux based, but all of them were super flakey in their own way. Most standalone ATM machines Ive seen use an embedded Windows flavor. Its sad.

     @coolboymew probably a combination of middle manager types being responsible for making these sorts of decisions and Microsoft likely already having some kind of point of sales product that companies can just purchase off the shelf
