@itsfoss manjaro at work, ubuntu at home. Both with gnome and i3wm
@itsfoss mint!
@itsfoss
EndeavouOS (arch based)
@itsfoss I use @ubuntu 23.10 on my 2007 iMac and @fedora 39 on my laptop.
I tried a couple of times to use Fedora on Apple hardware, but some proprietary components (mostly the WiFi card) don't get along with Fedora.
@itsfoss I do PopOS
@itsfoss Daily driver Debian but arch on weekends :blobcatcoffee:
@itsfoss Pure Debian. Just Debian.
@itsfoss ubuntu LTS with gnome, but just about give fedora 39(gnome again) on my new laptop
@itsfoss Some variant of Mint. I used to be a fan of Ubuntu, but didn't like one of their gui choices and dropped the distro. A bit further back I played with Red Hat, but never really got the hang of it. (early 2000s) I know distro choices can be personal, Mint does what I want, installs pretty easily on bare metal or in a VM, has a decent package / update manager, and does what I need it to do. 🤷
@itsfoss ubuntu budgie
@itsfoss mint
@itsfoss Debian 👉 https://spirallinux.github.io/
@itsfoss debian with i3wm and nix for devenv
@itsfoss Ubuntu 23.10
@itsfoss Mostly @archlinux :archlinux: with a bit of @fedora :fedora: in between. :blobcatmorningtea:
@kahomono XD
@itsfoss currently using Pop_OS and MATE because it's the only thing that would play nice OOTB with my NVidia card and a wiiiiide monitor.
But I'm a hopper, so ask me again next month 🙃
@janwillemswane @EndeavourOS @archlinux Indeed!
@itsfoss @EndeavourOS makes @archlinux reachable for me as an intermediate user. With sway (coming from i3). Next step could be pure Arch.
@neotux 🙌
@itsfoss
Me too, BTW 😎
@archos 😜
@itsfoss BTW, I use Arch 😊👍
@ksaj You are an outlier, that is not a bad thing, we have choices after all!
@itsfoss Ackshully I use Raspberry Pi OS, even on my desktop.
Mainly 'cos I use Raspberry Pi so much, and I like things to be similar throughout my environment.
And Raspberry Pi OS is a sort of underdog that a damn lot of people use, but never seem to get into these lists.
Incidentally, I also use Xonsh as my regular shell, so I don't really tend to follow the trends very well!
@Gladso 😄
@adventure_tense True!
@itsfoss Linux Mint - because it gets out of my way and lets me focus on my workflow. Elegant, clean, and stable. The glue that brings Darktable, QGIS, Jellyfin, Joplin, etc together for the party.
@calum 🤣
@itsfoss Debian (because I'm a sadist, not a masochist, obviously)
@itsfoss Fedora
@itsfoss Manjaro at my personal notebook and Debian at my server!
@itsfoss manjaro kde for work, kubuntu at home 👌
