   I'm getting a very weird problem with firefox:

   sometimes it can't copy text. Not that it fails, which is a common problem on operating systems with clipboards. No, the copy option is greyed out.

   That's normal linux/firefox weirdness. Here's the really weird part: Every time I see this happen, I try to screenshot it by hitting printscript. This unfortunately closes the menu, so I can't screenshot it... but doing this also FIXES THE PROBLEM

     to be clear: I can right click the text all day, and the "copy" option will never activate.

     but as soon as I hit printscreen, which DOESN'T YET COPY ANYTHING, it fixes the copy option

     @joby I have plenty of those, I just don't think to use them until I've already accidentally fixed the problem!

     @foone that is baffling. Maybe find a program that does a time-delayed screen capture? I’m pretty sure there are a few of those rattling around.

     @nf3xn I actually do that surprisingly often but usually it's because I'm dealing with multiple systems and it would be a pain to get the screenshots off the machine I am screenshotting.
     Like it's running win95 with no network, for example.
