   Those kids have spiritual pica. They want the uniforms and the trinkets, but it speaks to their desire to be proven and tested, to slog through the misery and reach the abyssal depths of the human heart in the few places they can be found today

     @professionalbigot69 “Spiritual pica” is a concept everyone should look out for. Physicall, pica is the drive to ingest stuff like chalk, dirt, and such in an effort to give your body essential minerals your diet doesn’t have.

     In cases like this, it’s not just the surface level appearance that attracts them, these candy-shop-raised kids just want to see a crucible for a change, even if it breaks them
