   I wonder if spotting AI text/images/voices is going to turn into one of those really niche but unteachable roles, like chick sexing or being a super-spotter.

     Humans need not apply. Germany already banned culling of male chicks so now we're using machines at scale to do it (in parts of the EU, anyway)

     @feld @thatguyoverthere Yes, those machines are very nifty.

     There’s also some really interesting work going on involving developing birds that only lay eggs of one sex (by manipulating the incubation temperature of the to-be laying bird’s egg).

     @Flick @feld my favorite is when I have a few broody hens and I don't even have to worry about temperature and humidity. Indoor incubation is always so much work, and roosters taste good too!
