Then it's time to start making that which I am going to do with cherry. I also have a bunch of trim to install. I also have to decide on paint. The top is going to be finished with a clear coat, but the pine I am thinking about painting black. If I paint the inside white instead of black the LEDs will have a lot more to reflect off of which means more light, but will that look ok? I don't really want the outside to be white. Most other furniture in my office is black or wood grain. -

It's going to be able to get pretty bright with or without bouncing the light around. -

I think most of the shelf will be covered anyway and the books and anything else that ends up inside will still light up fine.
