"Cafe Hon". Beloved by the people of the city.
Then the owner trademarks the name of the restaurant AND the word "hon". Now people hate her for stealing something that belongs to everyone.
Either she's jewish or libertarian. Not understanding common intangible property exists, like she could trademark a common use word and not one would mind. And one that was culturally significant to the inhabitants of the town. They hate her now and sales are dropping fast. A sort of spontaneous boycott, it looks like
Gordon goes to the radio station where they tell him about Denise, the owner, and how she did all that and how she threatened to sue people for trying to sell tourist merch with the word "hon" in them.
Goes to interview her; she starts bullshittin'.

Apparently Americans used to be even more litigious, but that changed when the common man no longer had quick access to a suit. Well, now it's as expensive as it is in Europe, if not more so.
So, I gotta disagree. We should do it more often. It would be cheaper. You shouldn't need a lawyer. Walk in, make your case, judge decision, walk out. This is for simple shit, obviously. (People used to sue for like $20. Imagine suing somebody for under $3000 these days. It sounds retarded.)
Just imagine a based white male Judge Judy in every small town. That's what the book I read made it sound like. I have a neighbor down the street that keeps accusing me of letting my dog shit in his lawn. I literally carry dogshit bags! I'd like to get it on tape so I can sue him for slander...having my dog shit in his yard has become too much of a chore.

@Rasterman It's so fucking retarded how litigious some burgers are, reminds me of Kurt Eichenwald.

"They hate me for NO reason!" she tells Ramsay. Cries. Talks about people wishing death on her. Meanwhile the restaurant's manager foretold she'd try to appear nice to Gordon.
He asks if they just hate her for trademarking a word; she says yes. He asks again. She says she can't remember any other reason. He asks if she didn't sue anyone.
"I NEVER SUED ANYONE!"
I did my homework before coming here...
"OK, there was this cease and desist..."

It should be feasible so long as any lawsuits brought by Jews are automatically dismissed, to keep the system from being totally flooded.

They will automatically be facing an uphill battle from the start.
They'll have to pay more in court fees. Kosher taxes.
The judge will have a "yid-o-meter" in front of him, and he'll slide it towards the "Jew" side the jewier the plaintiff is acting...and if it gets all the way to it, they automatically lose the suit. Actually, it doesn't matter, they always lose the suit.
