     @notmyprawblem I've been putting off buying a bunch of retro gear forever. I've written a bunch of code for various consoles but never actually ran it outside of emulators.
     
     During COVID the collectors market pumped and post-COVID it's been dumping, I don't know if it's bottomed yet.

     As someone who fell for the crt tv meme, it's really not worth it. I guess I'll go back to play bing bing wahoo man on a regular monitor with crt shaders.

     FACT: There is no "standard" colors for the NES, every NES emulator has a subjective palette to approximate the NTSC signal
     FACT: Nintendo even has their own approximation for their emulation, which people tend not to like
     FACT: You are not intended to see the edges of the framebuffer because games were designed to expect the bezel to cover it

     I’m of the believe people who fell for the CRT meme never had a CRT for an extended period. The leap to LCD/LED was a miracle.

     I’m gonna shine a birght fucking light on your workstation and your faggy CRT and yell “CODE, MONKEY, CODE” until you switch to something better.

     Unless I’m misremembering (It’s been years since I’ve even seen on RL) CRTs just completely black out if a light is shone on them.
