the entertainment industry is in general in a pretty bad shape.
but as always there may exist a few games or shows that are good and maybe even on par with older stuff.
so just you know, be careful of not letting the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia cloud your vision

@rlier23 What was once a flow of quality entertainment has become a mere trickle, which may well soon dry up altogether in the midst of our Age Of Decline. It's not rose-tinted glasses to notice that our culture and civilization has massively decayed over the past 20 or so years. Maybe not everything is bad yet, but just wait for Japan to get properly ESGed. I would not be surprised within a decade for the entire global entertainment industry to be consumed by AI ESGslop.

@ArdainianRight i think you're missing the point m8 in this case i was refering to individual cases of good things that get devaluated for coming up in recent times when they are on the level of older stuff.
the general state of affairs is still bad sure but i think it would be unfair to punish good art for being created in a bad period of time

@rlier23 You're right of course. The problem is as we regress the bar gets ever lower, and nobody is totally exempt from the effects of decay and degeneration.

@ArdainianRight @rlier23 at times like these it is good to remember that we can play and replay through our backlog longer than they can crank out esg goyslop
