     @nixCraft This is one reason why I have considered having an OS agnostic house. Then Microsoft decided to not support any hardware I have after next year and Apple keeps making product decisions that makes me unsure about what the hell is even going on. So far my nearly 6 year old likes her iPad and Vim on the computers.

     I bought my daughter an HP laptop for high school about 5 years ago. Installed uBlock, got rid of some bloatware, and that was it. That was the extent of the support she needed.

     She's in university now, same laptop. It's not close to cutting edge but it works for what she needs it for.

     The last thing she needed instead of an OS was another project.

     @nixCraft why not both? I love my GPU passthrough setup for anything Proton/Wine can't deal with 😄
